| After the official unofficial CUHWC trip to Torridon, David P, David C and I continued the trip, heading north to Assynt. We climbed Conival and Ben More (Munros), Quinag and Canisp (Corbetts) and Suilven and Stac Pollaidh (just amazing mountains!). We then spent a day traversing the An Teallach ridge - probably my favourite mountain in Scotland at the moment - before travelling down to Glen Nevis, dropping DC off en route. |

After climbing Stac Pollaidh, DC, DP and I stayed at the Inchnamph hostel. We took advantage of the roof to dry and repack all of our stuff. 816x612 Buy Print |

We climbed Conival and Ben More Assynt. This view's from Conival, showing the hills to the East, then Ben More Assynt (and the ridge we walked along), then Breabag, then the major Assynt hills (Stac Pollaid, Cul Mor, Cul Beag, Canisp, Suilven - though I'm not entirely sure which are visible), then Loch Assynt, then Quinag (L to R) 7846x544 Buy Print |

Water flowing through caves on the way down from Ben More Assynt. We did a bit of amateur caving in one of the caves, crawling through a tiny hole into a large cavern with an underwater river. 816x612 Buy Print |

The following day, we climbed Canisp (no photos due to silly amounts of cloud!) and stayed in the Suileag bothy near Suilven - it was amaaaaazing 816x612 Buy Print |

After our Canisp/Suilven/bothy adventure, we travelled south to take advantage of a weather window forcasted by MWIS, and climb An Teallach. This photo was taken from Sail Liath, and shows Corrag Bhuidhe, Lord Berkeley's Seat and Sgurr Fiona (spikey things on the left) and Bidein a Ghlas Thuill (right hand peak). 1929x587 Buy Print |
